I called 5 or 6 different auto shops looking for someone who could help me with my HGR valve. I had just moved to Durham, and did not know anything. Every place I called told me that my valve would need to be replaced as well as other wiring and it would cost at $250. I continued to call around, just to see if that was the best price. When I called Northgate Auto, I was told by Mike, the owner, that most of the time HGR valves don't need to be replaced, only cleaned and it would only cost $80. He then proceeded to tell me that the other places were trying to rip me off and he didn't understand why, when treating customers fairly gets them to come back. I haven't used another mechanic since.
